Our hotel is located in a peaceful area surrounded by forest. Just relaxing in our yard, breathing the clean air in the silence, is enjoyable. From our yard, you can access cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails leading to the top of Kuertunturi or the village of Äkäslompolo.
Are there any family-friendly activities available?
Yes, many companies offer also family-friendly activities such as reindeer farm visits, Northern Lights hunts, and snowshoeing.

How do I get to KuerHotel from the nearest airport?
Several direct flights flights from Manchester, London, Düsseldorf, Munich, Paris, and Vienna take you to Kittilä Airport. Check also connecting flights from Helsinki!
It is advisable to book the airport bus in advance.
Can I travel to KuerHotel by train?
Yes, you can take a train to Kolari Railway Station. From there, you can take a connecting bus to Äkäslompolo. We recommend taking a taxi for the final part of the journey if you have heavy luggage. The bus driver can advise you on the best place to get a taxi.
Where are the train/bus stops located, and can I walk to KuerHotel?
If you are traveling by train and taking a bus from Kolari, get off at the Ylläskartano/Kuer bus stop. We recommend taking a taxi for the final part of the journey if you have heavy luggage. The bus driver can advise you on the best place to get a taxi.
Where are the airport bus stops located, and can I walk to KuerHotel?
If you are traveling by plane and taking a bus from Kittilä Airport, get off at Mailan Putiikki. From both stops, you can walk to KuerHotel, but be aware that the path includes a steep hill. We recommend taking a taxi for the final part of the journey if you have heavy luggage. The bus driver can advise you on the best place to get a taxi.
Do I need to book tickets for the bus in advance?
It’s advisable to check the schedules and booking requirements for the bus connections from both the airport and the railway station. Booking in advance is recommended to ensure a smooth journey.
How do I arrive at KuerHotel by car?
Arriving from Kolari direction, turn left onto Kievarintie as soon as you see the streetlights of Äkäslompolo village. From Muonio or Äkäslompolo, Kievarintie is the last road on the right when the pedestrian path ends. Kievarintie leads to our parking area, and the reception is in the first building, with the entrance under the flagpole.
What should I know about the bus connections from Kittilä Airport or Kolari Railway Station?
Always check the schedules and instructions for the airport and railway station bus connections.
When traveling by bus to Äkäslompolo, we recommend taking a taxi for the final part of your journey if you have heavy luggage. The driver will inform you where to find a taxi. If you decide to walk from the bus stop to KuerHotel, be prepared for a steep hill.
